About
I am a graphic designer and illustrator based in Sydney. Blending my fine arts education with a strong foundation in design principles. My work is deeply influenced by my fascination with symmetry and geometry, which are integral to my creative process. I specialise in traditional techniques, embracing the challenge of incorporating structural and geometric elements into my designs to create visually compelling and balanced compositions. Usually, I will begin an illustration using a ‘grid’ method on the paper//canvas.
This method allows me to visualise where the main elements of my project will be placed, while maintaining some form of consistency, and symmetry. My particular interest lies in the mid-century modern era, (1950’s - 1970’s) especially the innovative work of designers such as Otl Aicher. Their approach to design, characterised by its clarity and precision, and bold shapes inspire my own practice and drives my passion for creating designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and meticulously structured. Through my practice, I strive to honour the legacy of these influential designers while bringing a contemporary perspective to my work.
